What Equipment is used to Broadcast?
Annie and Burl Live! utilizes the following equipment and software to bring you the best possible listening (and viewing) experience:
- Annie uses a Samson Q6 Microphone mounted on a broadcast mic-arm from Q-mic Stands
- Burl uses a Shure BG 2.1 Microphone mounted on a broadcast mic-arm from Q-mic Stands
- In-studio guests use Samon Q6 Microphones
- SFX and Music are generated through a Dell Dimension E510 desktop system with 4 Gigs of RAM and a Soundblaster Audigy Live! soundcard with the SoundByte Audio Cart program
- All microphones, sfx and music are routed to a Yamaha MG124cx 12 channel mixer board
- The mixer board runs into a custom built AMD Athlon XP controller desktop ("Controller") system with a Creative E-MU 0404 soundcard and 4 gigs of RAM
- Studio video feed camera is a Cannon ZR-45 digital camcorder, runninginto the custom AMD machine
- Annie's personal video feed camera is a Microsoft LifeCam VS-3000
- Burl's personal camera is a Dell Integrated webcam running on an XPS M1530 laptop
- Interface from the Controller PC to BlogTalkRadio is provided through Skype services
- Pre-recorded material is edited and mixed using Adobe Audition 3.0
Are Annie and Burl really married?
Yes! They are married (to each other), and Annie often reminds Burl just how lucky he is!
Just who ARE RockDog, Kat and Kb? Are they really fighting on the air?
RockDog, Kat, and Kb are all very integral members of the Saturday Night Cool Table. RD and Kat either currently have, or have had, their own show on BlogTalkRadio and the chemistry Annie and Burl developed with them made it a perfect fit on the show. Kb is a HUGE source of information "behind the scenes" for stories and research, provides occasional on-air commentary, and also keeps the interactive chatroom rolling during the show. As for the bickering...let's just say that as holds true in every family, there is good-natured ribbing and poking fun at but when all is said and done: it's still a family.
Typically, how far into the show is it when Annie takes things into the toilet?

Speaking of that, what is the "Conway Button?"
The "Conway Button" reference goes back to the interview with Mr. Tim Conway in April of 2008. During this hilarious conversation, (Tim is a genius), Annie made one of her famous remarks to which Tim asked if we had a shut-off button for her. All in good fun...but the "Conway Button" was born.
